CCP visits flood affected areas to assess the damage and develop contacts to effectively deliver emergency assistance and long term rehabilitation.

Overview as follows:
1. The damage in Mardan, Malakand, and Nowshera is quite extensive. The crops are destroyed, the canals breached and the serving barrages of reservoirs are destroyed.
2. The farm land is not cultivable for another approx. 6 months.
3. The homes in the affected areas need be totally rebuilt.
4. The government relief is limited presently to emergency evacuations.
5. Governments camps are still not functional.
6. International and local NGO's have set up camps.
Based on the visits and meetings with the government officials, we developed indepth understanding of the extent of damage.
CCP effective Flood Relief Assistance measures are as follows:
1. Respond to the local communities requests for food ration supplies. Our target fund is Rs. 5 million. Only the food emergency rations will be divided amongst the four provinces.
2. Medicines and clothing will be shipped, next week. Medicines acquired at manufactured cost. Clothes locally stitched in KP.
3. Identified families/villages with 300 families homes rebuild. Target budget: Rs. 5 million.
4. starting a village school. The budget not determined yet.
5. Food ration packages purchased locally to offset shipping and security issues.
6. So far CCP dispersed Rs.1.9 Million
7. Presently our Relief Account Rs. 5.5 Million.
8. Fundraisers targeted to reach RS. 12 MILLION
CCP has responded to the urgent need for relief to flood affected Pakistani's. Since the 1 August 2010, we have started sending trucks loaded with food and supplies to Nowhera, Mardan and Charsadda area. CCP has renewed the key contacts in the region established in 2009, as part of our very effective campaign to assist Swat IDP's. We have in the first few days sent money to Swat Flood affected residents to provide emergency help.

Pakistan Flood Disaster Relief- 2010
The Governing board of CCP met on 4 August 2010 and came up with the following plan for flood relief:

CCP will look after all basic needs such as food, clothing, bedding,
milk, stationery, childrens' recreations etc. plus giving them spending
allowances.
CCP has donated sewing machines and materials to help organize some
of the displaced women to start stitching operations and become self
sufficient.
CCP also organized medical camps starting 23-24 May
for 2 days to examine IDPs and provide medicines where required. Approximately 750 patients were seen by 5 doctors, over 2 days.
CCP delegation visiting Mardan and Daulazai on Saturday the 23rd May
distributed 11 truck loads of relief goods.
Apart from these 5 camps that CCP has adopted, we have also started
supporting families hosted by locals and living away from the designated
IDP Camps.

The recent accomplishments by the CCP members' direct involvement were:
in Kashmir Earthquake helped build more than 68 houses in Kashmir,
and constructed 72 houses in Balouchistan last year apart from delivering a container of goods.
The women were provided with sewing machines, children with educational tools, and initiated a free tandoor to run on a continous basis.
