The Concerned Citizens of Pakistan is a diverse and non-partisan association of individuals. We came together in response to Musharaf's imposition of Emergency on November 3, 2007. Since then CCP has been working for the Restoration of Judiciary and Rule of Law.
Concerned Citizens of Pakistan understands the importance of the civil society in fashioning a more just and democratic society.Therefore CCP urges you to join us to strengthen our efforts in that direction.
CCP Flood Relief Efforts
August 2nd to August 6th Main Market Gulberg Roundabout
The response from CCP members and expatriates so far has been positive. Funds are being raised and rations collected. The flood affected people have contacted us and CCP is in liaison with the other organizations and local community.
On Friday the team is leaving for the northern areas and will be having a meeting afterwards to plan their immediate needs and rehabilitation. If interested in attending please message us on Facebook.
The youth has been also very cooperative by manning our tent in Main Gulberg Main Market. The fundraising tent days have been now extended till Friday, so far. May Allah give us strength and wisdom. Ameen.

Every week Nawa-ai-Waqat, & The Nation publishes a CCP Blog/diary column in urdu/English.
If community matters to you then you should write about it.
It should be written in first person.
Word limit is 300-500 words.
Format outline:
Introduction: where, when did it happen? Who are you?
Middle: What happened? the problem that you faced?
Ending: Does it have a moral lesson? Your opinion?

What is CCP Talk Series ?
CCP is APOLITICAL...
All the members have their personal affiliations with other political parties.
CCP supports and promotes the leaders in every party. We invite them in our Series of Talks, to have Question & Answers sessions, access them with our proposals suggestions and then our members decide on who to make their favorite.
We plan to start registering voters and promote the 'worthwhile' representatives. . The CCP 'pressure group' will set up a proper scene for democracy.
As a CCP member you are welcome to suggest the names any leader or an expert in legislative field i.e. a historian, political analyst, journalist etcetras that you want to promote.
Latest CCP NEWS July 15th 2010:
After listening to well esteemed Supreme Court lawyers Hamid Khan and Abid Minto the pros and cons of 18 Amendment, CCP has decided to petition the Supreme Court on two points agenda which is as following:
- parliamentary committee approval unnecessary
- and not to finish intra-party elections because it is as important as the country's elections and therefor Pakistan's democracy.
Now is the time to UNITE for WE want the democracy to work. So lets support the parliamentarian make EFFECTIVE POLICIES. CCP and other Civil Society members will continue to protest against government’s inaction to address this serious issue.
Involve yourself. Attend our meetings, meetings with politicians in CCP Talk Series, and other events hosted by CCP. So be counted!
